Christoph Montebelli

Christoph Montebelli est né en 1980 en Allemagne, aujourd’hui il vit et travaille entre le Luxembourg, Berlin et Rome. Photographe artiste et écrivain allemand et autrichien il  voyage entre l’Europe et l’Afrique après avoir vécu plusieurs années au Maroc. Il est diplômé des universités de Rome et de Yale, où il a étudié en tant que boursier Fulbright.

Son travail photographique, qui explore l’impact visuel de l’urbanisation, de la mondialisation, et des œuvres des grands architectes, notamment en Afrique et dans le pourtour méditerranéen, a été exposé, entre autre, à Londres, Bruxelles, Paris, Casablanca, Trieste, Cracovie et Berlin. Il a participé à de nombreux festivals de photographie dont Pierrevert 2018, Essaouira 2019, Arlon 2020). Il a remporté le premier prix des Fine Art Photo Awards 2019 dans la catégorie “paysage urbain/cityscape” avec sa série sur les aventures architecturales de l’Allemagne de l’Est en Zanzibar.

Christoph Montebelli was born in 1980 in Germany. Today, he lives and works between Luxembourg, Berlin and Rome. A German and Austrian photographer and writer, he travels between Europe and Africa after having lived for several years in Morocco. He graduated from the universities of Rome and Yale, where he studied as a Fulbright scholar.

His photographic work, which explores the visual impact of urbanization, globalization, and the works of great architects, particularly in Africa and around the Mediterranean, has been exhibited, among others, in London, Brussels, Paris, Casablanca , Trieste, Krakow and Berlin. He has participated in many photography festivals including Pierrevert (2018), Essaouira (2019) and Arlon (2020). He won first prize at the Fine Art Photo Awards 2019 in the “Urban Landscape/Cityscape” category with his series on East German architectural adventures in Zanzibar.
